Does a full fringe emphasize face imperfections such as dark eye circles making them more visible?

I fully believe that full fringes can emphasise face imperfections such as dark eye circles and I try to discourage my clients from having heavy fringes, especially if they are slightly older, and appear to suffer with more prominent dark circles. I work in a top London hair salon and thankfully the clients appreciate my skills...and honesty! A lighter, longer fringe swept to the side of the face is a fabulous look and can make you instintly look young. You want to be able to move your hair, run your fingers through it, make your hair seem soft and sexy. If it is very straight and has little movement, then it will look an older cut straight away. If you do opt for a front fringe then do not have it too short, this is partly the problem when some hair stylists cut a fringe; it is too short and immediately it puts 5-10 years on you. Short fringes are also the main reason why the dark circles/under eye bags are so prominent.

This is an honest story, last year I had adult chicken pox and was left with scarring on my forehead, so my colleague styled me a front fringe to hide the scarring as it faded. Even though it was not short, all of a sudden I was aware of my under eye circles. On an evening out shortly after the cut, I was chatting to a guy at a bar when we asked each other our ages, he guessed me at 3 years older than I was. I was dsevestated! I had always been believed to be several years younger than I was. Suffice to say I grew the fringe out. A few weeks later the same guy was out and said 'something is different about you' he later admitted that I looked years younger. Short front fringes are a dated cut, they emphaise dark circles and age you - stay away from those scissors!!
