As far as I know, there is no cure. It has not been a priority to cure. Hair loss is not life threatening. There are however, treatments. I had alopecia 3-4 years ago. I saw a dermatologist and he prescribed a steroid gel to stimulate the hair growth. Thankfully, that treatment worked. The optional treatment was injected the steroid into my scalp with tiny needles.
