Does an isp keep a record of your search history?

[Edit]

Your ISP keeps logs of everything you do on the Internet, not just your search history. Your Internet activity will only be disclosed to appropriate parties (like law enforcement agencies, etc.) when it is required by law.

For instance a lawyer may request extracts from the server logs of your ISP to prove that a specific Internet user downloaded pirated software from a specific website.
