Yes. There are lots of things in Sesame Street that children would not realise are funny, like skits on famous people or stereotypes. Adults would notice these things. Sesame Street has been around for a long time, so for some adults it is a part of their childhood that they like to see again. Sesame Street is made by adults. So for these and other reasons, while it is mainly for children, adults can watch and enjoy Sesame Street.
Seeing the future is an impossibility so there no way to answer your question. New episodes of Sesame Street began premiering on HBO in February 2016 & they will air on PBS 9 months later. It was renewed by HBO for five additional seasons lasting through its 50th.
The very first episode of Sesame Street was aired on November 10th, 1969.In the first episode of Sesame Street, Gordon takes a girl named Sally on a tour of Sesame Street, introducing her (and the viewers) to the various characters on the show. On the street, Sally meets the human cast -- Gordon, Susan, Bob and Mr. Hooper -- as well as two Muppet characters, Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch.Ernie and Bert appear for the first time, and Kermit the Frog gives a lecture on the letter W, interrupted by an early version of Cookie Monster. Also featured in this episode are the first installments of the "Number Song Series" and "Jazz" cartoons, the first appearance of a group of Anything Muppets, and the first performance of "One of These Things". Carol Burnett is the first celebrity guest to appear on the show.In this episode, many sketches are introduced by the characters, even within the inserts. This reflects the fact that the show was initially conceived as a children's version of Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. For example, Gordon asks Kermit to give his W lecture, and when the sketch begins, Kermit says that Gordon asked him to talk about the letter W.
He's not THE first, apparently Big Bird was the first character to appear, then Oscar the Grouch, then Bert & Ernie, then a group of random Muppets, and then Kermit appears w/ his 'W' lecture so yes he was in the original roster of Muppet characters when Sesame Street premiered but he was not the first.
You are correct. There was a tv program that might be classified as a Spanish language ( Seasame Street). I believe it was called Carrascolendas My Spanish is not very good, but seem to recall the title. More of a soap opera than Sesame, it used Live actors-as I recall and even some Gauche if plausible plots about, for example a Dog being hit by a car. as stated, was more soap-opera than brightside/happy go lucky which is often carried too far- making slapstick out of things that are not, in real life, funny.,

I would think you were abnormal if you didn't! Just remember this, at your age looking and touching are two different things. Give yourself time to grow up a bit, before the touching anything!
There were commercials, yes about thirty years ago, for an Ice Show-similar to Ice Capades that was directly based on the Sesame Street characters. It was called, naturally, Sesame Street on Ice. It was advertised on TV commercials airing mainly during juvenile programs- hitting the target audience. I do not think dvds were made of such things as this would hurt the live audience potential. the same thing applies to circus acts.
The things that pull things in without touching are called suctions.
Touching other people or things is a complex motor tic
