sadly they can't fix it for free......... although i've heard of people who went and actually got their's replaced for free, but it's very very unlikely that will happen. Mine broke too... if it's cracked really badly you will have to replace it by buying a new one, or you can do what i did and pay $99 to get it fixed, depending on how bad it is it can range from $99 to $140. you can also buy another screen and put the parts in but i don't reccomend that... apple is normally pretty generous so im guessing repairing it will be the case.
