Does caffeine hinder weight loss? |
Answer
If you have insulin resistance, caffeine will have a very bad effect on your metabolism. In the long run, going off caffeine will increase your energy and metabolism.
Caffeine would definitely hinder weight loss as well as it can even make essential minerals like iron and calcium into useless compounds and can prevent the digestive system from absorbing these essential minerals.

--Wow. That is interesting. I think a lot of it may deal with each persons current metabolism level too.
ANother view
If you are working out while eating properly recent studies have shown that a little caffiene about 30 minutes prior to your workout will help you get a better work out. The energy boost is supposed to make you more alert and therefore more willing to do your workout. It is also to give you a small boost in strength allowing you to lift a little more.
