No, That was indeed a rumor, she retired from the porn industry around the same time of the HIV breakout in 2008 that involved 16 pornstars. Fellow Pornstar Naomi Russell was also rumored to be one of the 16 infected with HIV, but that rumor was also false. Carmella since retiring has had a child and did a comeback scene in porn in 2011 before retiring for good.
