yes, actually its true! or atleast for me it is! just take a decent sized amount of peanut butterrr and swallow it down with some water and the hiccups should be gone soon. that's what i do and it works 99% of the time. :)
Hick ups are actually caused by an imbalance of either salt or sugar in your system. To correct this eat something sweet or salty depending on your recent dietary intake. It should clear within a moment.
Yes, it can, but not always. There are two ways it can work:
1) using up excess stomach acid - sometimes an irritation in the stomach affects the vagus nerve, which also is linked to the diaphragm muscle in the lungs.
2) the placebo effect - where any cure that you believe will work has a chance to be effective. Although hiccups tend to physiological rather than psychological, anything that reduces stress could stop the hiccups.
In fact, it does!! Just a spoon full! But make sure to swallow slowly so it doesn't stick in your mouth! It works everytime for me!!
Peanut butter stops hiccups. A non-allergic child can be given a small amount of peanut butter to calm any esophageal irritations.
Yes peanut butter can help lower blood sugar just as almonds.

no. it will make them fat
In my 60 years of experience, I have found that swallowing a tablespoon of peanut butter (for those not allergic) is the best cure for even the worst case of hiccups and I have tried many, many so-called cures. But... go ahead, why listen to me? ...hold your breath 'til you turn blue.....drink the water 'til you feel like you're in Guantanamo...it's your hiccups after all...I'm just sayin'...it worked for me ....that's all.
Many people prefer milk to water when eating peanut butter (or a peanut butter sandwich, etc.). The thicker consistency of milk than water as well as the creamier taste help to alleviate some of the thickness and stickiness of the peanut butter.
Try using peanut butter, then salt as a scrubbing subtitute. it will help to scrub away the gum, and get rid of the peanut butter!
No. Peanut butter contains peanuts.
Well.. I'm not entirely sure, as I've never had a mouse, but I've had hamsters. And one of them got hiccups. =o Also, when you feed them peanut butter, they like retract their eyes in and out like frogs do when they eat something bigger than them. I wouldn't sugest doing it though because they might choke. What we've learned? Give your hamster peanut butter in small, small amounts.
