There are many drugs for clearing up cold sores. There are also natural supplements that work also. Personally I take 100 mg of lLysine every day and I don't get them anymore. And before I started taking it everyday, when I got a cold sore, I would take 2000 mg every 6 hours and the sore would be gone in three days and never really "erupt" to a nasty looking one.
