No. If evolution is all we can hope for, we'll all be dead before it happens. Evolution traps us in hopelessness, it traps us into thinking that we are what we have always been and that we cannot change our nature/personality by any act of will. We are trapped into discarding any possibility that there could be another explanation for 'life'. We are trapped into thinking that life is purposeless.
