If you choose factory reset setting, you will wipe out everything on your computer. You will have to pay a tech to reload it with the basics, unless you have the drivers. You will get rid of the virus if you restore your computer to an earlier date, before you down loaded the virus.
All of your files will be gone, along with the viruses. It essentially re-installs the entire Operating System and in doing so deletes all information that was contained within the Operating System. The only way that the viruses would be in the computer after a factory reset is if you re-connect it to the internet and it gets viruses from there or if the virus was in the recovery partition, which is basically impossible.
