How do tsunamis cause floods?

Not directly. Tsunamis are produced by seismic movements at the bottom of the sea, therefore are produced geologically and not meteorologically.

However, global warming may increase the chances for tsunamis and other natural disasters. An increase in tsunamis may happen due to the fact that changes in the temperature of the oceans may affect streams and underwater geophysical masses producing environmental conditions that, although unlikely, might precipitate seismic movements at a given place.

While "tsunami" is the preferred word for large wave, as opposed to "tidal wave" which has nothing to do with tides, you may hear reporters or news broadcasaters refer to a meteorologically driven rogue wave as a tsunami. We don't have a better word to distinguish between these events.

Global warming does not cause tsunamis.

Tidal waves (tsunami, in Japanese) are produced from cataclysmic events like underwater earth quakes or volcanoes. It is not yet known how a much slower process, global warming, affects things like volcanoes and earthquakes.

Speculations abound, but they contradict in too many places.

A:As the Earth warms up, it warms everything on the surface and in the water. When the rocks and etcetera warm up, they expand and sometimes start to move. And since tsunamis are caused most of the time by Earthquakes, they come. (This has been extremely simplified and may not be total accurate for this reason.)

No, tsunamis are usually caused by earthquakes underwater. The earthquake sends a massive wave.

What causes tsunamis floods?

No. Tsunamis are classified as huge tidal waves. Tsunamis cause floods when the waves hit the shore and the water rushes inland.

What is the main natural disaster caused by tsunamis?

Floods are almost always the number one disaster. They also cause a lot of damage to buildings.

Will cutting trees cause tsunamis?

No, it would not. However, cutting trees causes global warming. Global warming causes the polar ice caps to melt. When the ice caps melt, the sea level would rise. If the sea level rises, floods would occur. However, floods are not tsunamis, but tsunami causes floods. Therefore, we can conclude that cutting of trees will cause floods, which are about the same effects of a tsunami.

Why all tsunamis don't cause earthquakes?

Tsunamis do not not cause earthquakes at all. Tsunamis are usually the result of an undersea earthquake.
