Apparently getting needles at the dentist really doesnt hurt at all! If your getting teeth pulled they will most likely give you an injection in your gum. Yes, it looks like you would be in alot of pain or its sounds like you would be in lots pain but no that much! On a scale from 1 to ten it would most likely occur as 7. Seven is not that bad. When you get the needles STAY CALM!!Trust me! It will feel like a pinch. The pinch pain lasts five seconds. If you don't get the numbing gel on your gum where the needle will be placed, it will hurt and the scale would be 2 from 1 to 10. So if you're not sure of getting that gel just ask your dentist. And the pain only feels like a long nail(finger nail) that's a bit sharp touching and digging into your gum for 1 second. I've been through it so I know! BUT STAY CALM! OKAY!? That's more important. Oh and ask for the happy gas! It so helps more too! For that scale it would turn out as 5. So stay calm.!
P.S. The numbing gell will leave a nasty taste in your mouth for a while. It should be near gone by the end of the day (You'll taste it sometimes if you burp.) I would know, I just got it done.
Most dental injections today should not hurt very much at all.
Over the past several years, dentistry has developed much better techniques and technologies for administering local anesthetics. If your dentist has graduated from dental school within the last 25 years, he/she should be familiar and fluent in the use of these 'atraumatic' methods of injections. If not, perhaps you might want to find a new dentist.
Seriously, when done properly, most injections are more painful in the mind of the patient than in their mouth.
No, it's fine. If they are going to do anything painful they will numb your mouth.
Usually, no, because the dentist should numb the area with a topical novocaine first.
it kinda depends how old you are. if you are 3 it will probably hurt. if you are 13 it shouldn't. (if it dose your a wimp!)
no, it will only hurt if you want it to, dont think about it.
Kills the pain. You need a shot at the dentist, so it numbs your mouth. Then the dentists can operate without hurting you as much.
No it does not hurt getting a tooth pulled because the dentist will numb your gums. The shot they use to numb you up will hurt a little bit.
No. Not really as long as your dentist his good at his or her job it may smell like somethings burning and you might feel tiny pinchesbut it shouldn't hurt very much
no...
Go to the dentist
It depends what you want to get.
there's different things that can cause a dental shot to hurt the size of the netil or how much pressure is being put
Because when any sharp thing is injected into your body its gonna hurt.
depends on how tight the dentist do it
For me, they did not hurt.
I'm going to be honest... yes.Another View: If you have a 'good' doctor or dentist, they will numb the place where you will receive the novacaine shot with a topical anesthetic which they will apply with a cotton swab first.
