I'm not sure it isn't wise to consider abortion under any circumstances.
Exodus 21:22-23 makes it clear that God is against abortion and sees it as murder of a child.
"If men who are fighting hit a PREGNANT WOMAN and she gives birth prematurely but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman's husband demands and the court allows. But if there is serious injury, you are to take LIFE FOR LIFE, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise."
Also the child is a different human being to the mother, not a part of the mothers body having separate blood type and DNA to the mothers.
Actually the Bible never mentions abortion so we don´t really know what he thinks. He does cause the majority of miscarriages though. In the story above the woman never claim she wants to get rid of the fetus and the act of violance is in no way an abortion. The choice is never hers. And isn´t it charming how they looked on woman and child in those days - the husbands property. Not a word about anything for the woman who actually suffered.
And since the fetus can not live outside the woman´s body it is a part of it.
But back to what God thinks. In situations where they have to choose between mother and child I don´t believe for a second he would choose the child and therefor take a mother from the children she already have and the children she could have in the future. Common sense must havea room in faith as well. Blind faith is not something I agree with. He gave us brains for using them.
