Well, yes and no. HSV-2 (despite what you read) can spread to anywhere within the 'boxer shorts area'. This means future outbreaks can appear in a new place each time within that area. If an initial outbreak and second are on the shaft of the penis it is possible the third outbreak can consist of blisters not only on your shaft but on the tip of the penis as well. It is a terrible virus that ruins many lives and science can barely do anything about it. Acyclovir or Valtrex do not prevent outbreaks but some people respond better than others to prescription medication. However these meducations damage can danage your liver and should you stop taking them your outbreaks will be continuous. Herpes has stumped the science community leaving them scratching their heads without the slightest clue on how to cure the virus.
