Yes,Ian was heavily influenced by Native American culture.When Ian`s family immigrated from England to Canada,many of his school friends were Native American.At age 11,Ian visited his friends 6-nation reservation, where he was exposed to their culture.Intrigued and fascinated with their lifestyle,religion and politics,Ian learned as much as he could in their own environment .After returning to England,Ian continued his studies of Native American culture and later would write The Cult album,"Ceremony".I personally thought Ian was at least half Indian,due to his long,straight black hair and strong jaw bone, but recently found out, otherwise, he is all British.
