Yes it is known to cause stomach problems in long-term use, perhaps after a period of 6months and so one. You are bound to suffer small intestine and large intestine bleeding as well as ulceration and perforation.

∙ 13y agoAs with many medications ibuprofen is safe in small amounts. (For me) it became prolonged exposure that damaged my stomach severly. Over the courst of 3 years after a TBI I have bad migraines and was taking up to 18 200mg Ibuprofen daily. Up until about 6 months ago my doctor said "never again" and put me on a different medicine. With the damage done, I am now extremely sensitive to all medicines.
It is important to discuss it with your physician if you need to use a medication long-term to avoid significant risks.
