Does incest cause birth defects?

Answer:
it doesnt cause birth defects.
because everyone on earth has some genetic ties to eachother from sharing the same ancestors 3% of all couplings will produce a child with a birth defect(usually congenital heart defect). that number increases as the blood ties increase.
when a coupling between cousins occure the actuall blood ties that they have are of such seperation they only have a 3% to 4% chance of having a child with a defect as you go up the line to 1st cousins that chance jumps from 3% to about5% and when you get to siblings that chance increases to 7% chance

if incest coused defects europe would be rittled with birth defects since most of the europes royal families are all related and have deep blood ties across all of europe(with other royal families)
