Yes, your liver and kidneys both have to process the THC that the marijuana leaves behind. The THC turns into a liquid once the smoke leaves your body. It can be harmful for both organs.

NO it will not damage your liver. Your lungs maybe a little due to smoke inhalation, but no where near what tobacco will do.
