You should leave it in for 4 hours at least. If you put it in for 8 hours, then all the lice will have died.

It can help yes, they don't like anything that's greasy, that's why so many headlice removal products are so greasy. Other things that can help get rid without chemicals are Tea Tree oil, olive oil and washing up liquid.

I've never heard that but it's doubtful since they survive detergents people use daily in their hair. Just get an over the counter lice shampoo with the special comb included. The teeth are extra close together to get the nits out of your hair that are at the follicles. One or 2 uses and they will be gone. It smells like chemicals somewhat though so don't do it before any activity where you will be in close confines indoors with strangers like school and you may want to avoid going so as not to spread them to friends.Your whole family needs to check themselves.

To get rid of head lice, you should get the normal treatment. Mayonnaise will only prevent the lice from coming back because of the oily ingredients. But if you do use the mayonnaise treatment you should use Hellmans. (regular)

No, you cannot. Mayonnaise isn't necessarily poisonous to lice. It kills adults by suffocating them. Think about the shirt you're wearing right now. I'm assuming you're wearing clothes... if not, go put some on, this can seriously wait. Anyway, think about the shirt you're wearing! You aren't allergic to it. However, if I were to bury you in them, you'd run out of air and die. That seems a little dramatic, but it's the same principle with the mayo and the lice. The thing is, it only works on adult lice. Mayonnaise does absolutely nothing against lice eggs.

yes i douses it woked on me it sufficates the lice and nits and makes them slideout because of the oil in it .

no me and my sisters all got head lice and we used mayo had lice the next day. never ate mayo again
