No. There is no such thing as vampires and the reason pumpkins are used at Halloween comes from a Irish story about a bad boy who was consigned by the devil to wonder the earth with a turnip lit with a lump of coal. When the Irish settlers came to the colonies they didn't find turnips but pumpkins so the story became Jack O' Lantern.
