The Kindle DX supports Arabic in two ways: natively with .AZW files and via PDF. There are already some Arabic text books available for Kindle, including Faruk Abu-Chacra'sArabic: An Essential Grammar and the Qur'an.
The Kindle DOES NOT SUPPORT Arabic .MOBI or .PRC files because the default fonts are not fully Unicode compliant and don't support Arabic.
You can also create PDF's of Arabic language documents and mail them to your Kindle account for a small fee, which depends on the size of the file. I've used a variety of fonts in documents I've created myself and they all display on the Kindle almost exactly as they do in the original.
All types of Kindle support the above mentioned AZW and PDF formats. To avoid paying Amazon a fee for transmitting the file to your Kindle you can also achieve the same result using the supplied USB cable or a WiFi connection.
You can also convert Arabic text into series of images as in following example. You can check the Qur'an which is converted into series of images for kindle.
