It simply tells the story of God's dealings with man, the origin of evil and God's solution to that in Jesus Christ. It shows the history of the world from the beginning and foretells how the world will end. So the theme 'the history of the world from God's perspective' would be a unifying theme.
Along the way much is also revealed about the nature or character of God Himself and the way He acts sovereignly to redeem lost mankind.
