South to North.

The Nile River flows south to north: it starts in Lake Victoria which is below the equator and ends in the Mediterranean Sea which is in between Africa and Europe.

Contrary to many rivers in North America not near: large lakes, oceans, or ocean inlets such as capes gulfs or straits the Nile flows from the south to the north.
