The various branches of the US Military use various units of measurement for various purposes. Both yards and meters are used at different times for different functions.
Meters (europe) or Yards (US)
Meters/MM in Non US countries, Inches in the US.
In the US it would be feet, yards or meters. Probably yards.
The accuracy for civilian use is four to five meters but for US military use the accuracy is 100%
In metrics, we use meters or any of the portions of a meter (kilometer, millimeter, etc). In the US, we also use inches, feet, yards or miles.
About 0.2 cubic meters.
Because the rest of the world uses the metric system. Since the US military "travels" alot, they need to know their distances in other countries. Because the world standard is Metric. Only the U.S., of all developed nations, still uses inches, feet and yards, gallons, ounces and pints. It really is sad.
In the US, football fields are measured in "Yards". If measuring via the metric system, use "Meters".
Well, in the US they use meters, Kilometers, and even miles. Occasionally some races are measured in yards, but that is rare. If we are talking about time, its measured in hours, minutes, seconds.
The US military used maggots for wounds.
The official US football playing field is 120 yards long- 100 yards between the goal lines and end zones which are each 10 yards deep. The field is uniformly 53 1/3 yards wide (160 feet) from sideline to sideline.Metric equivalents : goal to goal 91.44 meters (109.728 meters total), width 48.768 meters.
if you're talking about the dimensions, use meters. if you're talking about how much water the pool can hold, use liters or kiloliters. The most reasonable would be yards. You could also use meters. It depends on how long the pool is.
