No, no army has more ships than its navy.
yes
Typically the army does not name ships. The navy names ships, with only two exceptions (Condererate submarine in US Civil War, Japanese carriers in WWII) of named vessels operating under army command rather than navy. As to how the navy names ships, they are usually built to a class and named with some commonality (Cities, famous battles, famous people, animals, adjectives, et cetera.)
Navy people, sailors.. there's some instances of the term "squid" being used, but that one's a bit more commonly used by the Marines, who have a lot more interaction with the Navy than Army personnel would.
The city, its harbours, its temples, its army and navy, and its empire.
No less than 12 ships have been named HMS Resolution in the Royal Navy. It has been a long tradition to name ships after famous previous ships. The final Resolution was a nuclear submarine.
Greek. To note, the Spartans are what we conisder today as Greek; but they were focused on their Army rather than their Navy.
In terms of number of ships , the Okinawa invasion fleet was larger. In terms of casualties the number was far greater at Okinawa. The US Navy deaths were higher than Marines or Army.
During the Vietnam War (1945 - 1975), the US Army had more HELICOPTERS (Rotor Wing Aircraft) than all of the branches combined (Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard). Taking into account all types of aircraft (fixed wing and helicopters); Today (2010) the US Air Force has far more aircraft than the Army.
If you stuck a squad of Marines and A squad of army soldiers, The marines would definatley win! Marine are trained to be right in the action, Army soldiers are more for support and backup. Marines are trained more harsh and cruel than a Army soldier.
Navy Big and really strong ships. Can handle lots of damage, they can also fire missiles, toss bombs into the water, fire machine-guns, fire cannons, detect enemy vessels and launch aircraft(some ships can launch aircraft). Air Force One or two missile hits will destroy planes. The Air Force have lots of firepower but also have lots of defense. Air Force aircraft can fire missiles, use machine-guns to shoot and drop bombs. These aircraft are also very fast and can travel up to supersonic speed. They can also dodge from missiles very easy. Yes, the Air Force is stronger than the Navy. They can pack alot of damage to ships by dropping bombs. Ships can only withstand missiles for long but they cannot withstand bombs. Both, the Air Force and the Navy can launch torpedoes to destroy enemy ships. Vessels also can't handle that much torpedoes because torpedoes packs a bunch of damage to ships and can punch a hole right through the vessel.

Looks more like a Navy rank and rating than an Army rank... the only reference I can find to "CLC3" being used by the Army is the designator for the Combined Logistics Captains Career course from the Army Logistics University.
there is more cargo than there is oil, or other liquids container ships use.
