I light a candle and thank the goddess for all of the blessings she gave me that month, but that's just me. Wiccans generally celebrate an esbatt at the Full, in in some cases the New Moon. The Full Moon ritual usually includes a "Charge of the Goddess" and is a time of completion. We tend to try to finish projects at the Full Moon. New projects, plans and undertakings work best if they start at the New Moon. For projects that require longer than two weeks if it is possible we set things aside at the full moon and restart or continue at the next new moon.
