Does the male animal mate with a female then mate again with another female? In: Pets |
Answer
yes most male animals mate with a female then mate again with another female
Answer
Animals are, for the most part, biologically programmed to pass on their own genes as much as possible so yes males will often try to impregnate as many females as possible during the breeding season. However there are exceptions to this rule, such as in a wolf pack where the alpha male will only mate with the alpha female, and in certain birds such as swans where they establish strong monogamous life partnerships.
Answer
Yes they do, some females can even carry litters of babies that have 2 even 3 or more fathers. In humans once an egg is fertilized, fertilixaion can't take place again until the baby is born. But with some female animals there is a window of time that egges continue to be fertilized by different males but all the babies will be from the same litter.
Answer
Many animals do this, but some do not. Many birds, for example, are monogamous: they will pair up and stay with each other until one of them dies.
You Bet.
