The Prime Minister of Canada is answerable to the Canadian House of Commons, which is composed of the elected representatives of the Canadian people.

Since it is ultimately the Governor General who has the power to dismiss the Prime Minister, in theory, the Prime Minister would be answerable to the Governor General. In practice, the Governor General is apolitical, and would only use this power to remove a Prime Minister who is abusing Parliament and refuses to resign.

No. Britain has been a constitutional monarchy for some time now. The role of the monarchy is ceremonial and a representative of British history and culture. The Parliament and Prime Minister hold the legislative and political power of Britain.

While the Queen certainly holds theoretical power over the Prime minister (and is Head of State, therefore outranks the Prime Minister), he is not accountable to her - the role of the monarch in Britain has been greatly reduced in recent years and therefore holds no power over the Prime Minister.
