yes as the wight is directly proportional to gravity.

In fact, weight itself is a force, as force is F=ma, such as weight on earth (or F) is a persons mass times the acceleration due to gravity on Earth (9.8 m/s2), and the force due to gravity changes depending where you are sense force due to gravity is F=G(m1m2/r2). So changing the mass of the planet changes the "weight" (aka force)

Does mass vary according to the force of gravity?

No, mass does not vary according to the force of gravity. Mass is a measure of how much matter an object has. Weight, however, is a measure of the force of gravity acting on an object; as such, weight varies according to gravitational field strength.

What does weight mean?

It could be said that it is how much force is gravity putting on the object, weight is related to mass and gravity, such that : weight = mass x gravity It is a common mistake thinking that weight is same as mass, mass is the amount of quantity in an object, and doesn't vary according to position as weight does. It means that you put fat on

Does the weight of something change depending on where it is?

Yes, because if you are 90 pounds on earth you would be 15 pounds on the moon. This is because weight is the force of gravity acting on an object, and the force of gravity depends on the mass of the object. The force of gravity on the earth is six times greater than that of the moon, or, the force of gravity on the moon is 1/6 that of the earth. On earth, a person's weight would vary slightly between sea level and the top of a mountain. This is because the force of gravity is stronger the closer an object is to the center of the earth (or moon, or planet).

Is mass the same anywhere in the universe?

Mass is constant because it is the amount of matter or "stuff" that we are made of. Weight, however, which is the force of gravity on a mass, does vary because the force of gravity varies with location. So your weight would vary, but not your mass.

What is the relationship between mass and weight in a body?

The relationship between mass and weight in a body is that weight is the gravitational force acting on an object due to its mass. Mass is a measure of the amount of matter in an object and is constant, whereas weight can vary depending on the strength of the gravitational field acting on the object.

Why does weight vary throughout your system?

Due to the gravity force which vary according to the mass of each planet.

Why does weight vary throughout the solar system?

Due to the gravity force which vary according to the mass of each planet.

What is the property of matter that is not affected by gravity and is constant?

The property of matter that is not affected by gravity is mass. An object has the same mass regardless of the force of gravity, however it's weight can vary. Weight is the force of gravity acting on the mass of an object.

Does pressure vary with dept due to the force of gravity?

Yes, pressure increases with depth as a result of the weight of water above a given depth. Weight is caused/determined by gravity.

What is gravity and how does it relate to weight?

Gravitational force is the force that acts between any two masses in the universe and pull them towards each other weight is the measurement of gravity on an object the more gravity the more weight,an object varies from place to place because gravitational forces vary.

How does the gravity of the planet vary with its mass?

The larger the planet mass, the bigger force of gravity it has.

Why is the weight of an object different on Earth and the moon even though the object's mass is the same in both places?

Weight depends on acceleration due to gravity and similarly acceleration due gravity depends on force of gravity. The force of gravity of moon is 6times less than that of earth and due to this their is variation in acceleration due to gravith between the earth and the moon. As there is difference in acceleration due to gravity between the earth and moon, the magnitude of weight also vary . And next most important thing to keep on mind is that mass is independent of gravity so it does not change anywhere ....
