Of the dog is a pup to 15 months old they can piddle from excitement (excited bladder.) They should out-grow this, but if not see your vet as there are medications to control this. If the dog is old then just like the elderly they can lose bladder control. Please see your vet.

I brought my 10 year old female German Shepherd to the vet because she was leaking urine. The vet gave my dog Estrogen pills that cleared the problem up right away--her muscles had loosened as she got older and couldn't hold it in. So, if you have an older female dog, it may have the same problem. Good luck!

A dog that is leaking urine may be experiencing a bladder infection. Damage or loss of control to muscles controlling the bladder can also cause this issue.
