I am not a doctor, but while in college I had really bad mid/upper back pain, this was in the mid 90's. The campus doc prescribed me 2 soma 4 times per day (350 mg soma, NOT the one with Tylenol or "compound) plus 1 flexeril about 1-2 hours before bed. The first dose I took right before a staff meeting (I wrote for the college paper) and talk about a weird buzz/feeling. All I could do was sit there and could barely talk. My tongue wouldn't work so well. A few others asked if I was ok, and said yes, but they must of thought I was taking some illegal drug. The next time I took just one, and the third two again, but ended up puking. Hope this helps
