In 1893 Sir Henry Mortimer Durand, the foreign secretary of British India, drew up the Afghanistan-Pakistan border line - a border that is still known as the Durand Line. Running roughly 2640 km in length, it's a region fraught with conflict.
The border between Afghanistan and Pakistan is known as the Durand Line and is one of the most dangerous and porous borders in the world. The borders that Afghanistan and Pakistan have with Iran have no special name.
