I'm not a doctor, but there are many things that can be harmful from a litter box, including, but not limited to: feces has bacteria, dust from the litter box can spread the bacteria which can enter your lungs and can pass on to your unborn child. Cats are a bad idea to begin with when you are having a child, not only do to unknown allergens, but once the child is born, cats tend to pounce on children in their crib and smother them...I think you should get rid of the cat a.s.a.p, your child is more important than a pet....
