Reboot means restart. It does take awhile in the Jail breaking process.
restarting
If by "restart" you mean "reboot", yes; several times. This is necessary in order to download the jailbreaking code on to your device. It should be noted, however, that unless things go very, very wrong, a jailbreak will not cause data-loss. All your existing applications and settings will still be there after the jailbreak.
Yes; not jailbreaking it. If you mean a way to do the same thing as jailbreaking without actually doing so, there is no current way to do so.
"Jailbreaking" is another word hacking. Therefore you void your warranty but you get cydia, a jailbreaking software. Jailbreaking does have it advantages and Disadvantages. But if you want to send it to apple to repair it you have to restore it to factory settings to get back your warranty.
altering the factory software so you can download stuff from other places not only of the app store. jailbreaking can be dangerous for your device
you broke it
Ask Mr. Drenth
obviously, as you cannot get them w/o jailbreaking
Turn it completely of and then back on
Reboot is computer talk for turn off the computer and turn it back on. It helps reset the memory and other processes.
if by "reboot" you mean start the car.. uyo re connect the battery pos first then neg, then turn the key..
i am guessing you are trying to jailbreak your device. it can all depend upon each device but it shouldn't take to long. My suggestion, if possible don't jailbreak with redsnow, try jailbreaking with greenpois0n or limera1n. hope this helps :)
