There are a good number of reasons for it shutting off. the common reason is the magnetic pickup in the distibutor. If it is running a little rough it could also be the ignition module which is on the firewall agains the drivers in fender. It could also be a combination of both.
Dodge does not use shut off switches.Dodge does not use shut off switches.
The fuel is shut off to shut the engine off.
only if you download while shut off is in operation
The reason the engine shuts off intermittently is probably a crank position sensor, this is an electronic part which mounts on the front of the engine. When this goes bad the engine will sometimes just not work, or will work sometimes but then just dies. Fuel shut off is what happens when you turn the key off. The power to the fuel pump is cut which ends fuel flow to the engine.
THERE IS A RELAY ON THE SHUT OFF AND SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT RESET AFTER THE KEY IS SHUT OFF .ORIGINALLY WHEN YOU TURNED YOUR TRACTOR OFF AND ENGINE STOPPED YOU WOULD HEAR A CLICK.THIS WAS THE SHUT OFF RELAY RESETTING
