Answer:
Our body is a biological mass and in order to survive it needs proper elements to maintain it in working order. minimum quantity of various things are needed to keep the body alive for which we have to consume food from which our body can extract the required elements to keep it going. among the elements nutrients are very important. every cells of our body needs nutrients to survive. devoid of nutrients the cells begins to lose its potentials and starts to die. in eastern philosophy it is said that everything is made up of four elements - water, fire, earth and air. these, however, are not to be taken literally; that is to say these elements represents differently in different things. again if we take the human as example we can say that in a human being fire is the heat in our body, the water is represented by the flowing blood, earth is the bones in our body and air is what we breathe in. in this connection i would like to add that 'farting' for human is also an air element and is necessary.
therefore we should eat a balanced diet containing most of the nutrients and water containing food. malnutrition leads to different parts of our body dying off at different levels when the body starts losing its different faculty. the effect will depend on the type of malnutrition that is affecting the body. with malnutrition the body just do not respond to the commands the mind wants to transmit. therefore how malnutrition will affect the body will generally depend on the type of nutrition the body is lacking.
