The exact amount of weeks for pregnancy is 40 weeks.

But , That doesn't really mean the baby will come at exactly 40 weeks though. Some come ealier and some tend to stay in your tummy even longer then 40 weeks.

37 weeks is now considered full term though. So if you go into labor from 37 weeks and beyond then they won't try and stop it (atleast they shouldn't and if they do they don't know what thier doing!) and the baby will be considered full term.
