Authentic means it's the real deal and a recipe handed down in time from ancestors or other countries. Traditional means there have been some changes made to it. Often people who cook (just like we do) will fiddle around with adding this and that for a better taste. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't.

I agree with the meaning of authentic, as stated above. However, I think that traditional means it is the way a certain group, association, family, etc., have made the recipe over a long period of years. For instance, my grandmother made our traditional ham and black-eyed peas with corn bread for New Year's dinner. Our neighbors had an authentic New York style pizza from Domino's for dinner.
