I went to Walmart and purchased a manual pump with 4 ft. hoses and pumped fluid from the top side of the engine transmission filler. This will retrieve all but what's in the torque converter. Change this two to three times and it makes a big difference. The pump cost less than $5.00. Pump it into a milk jug and recycle.
