Julie Andrews did not sing. i am not sure who did because she did not get any credit for her singing.
Julie Andrews did indeed sing the songs in Sound of Music. The only songs I know of that had voice overs were Climb Every Mountain and some of the songs the children sang...though it wasn't a total voice over with the children's songs...they just had additional singers add voice to the songs.

She sings very little these days because her throat was damaged in a surgical procedure several years ago. But, there are years of records out that she has done. She was a singer before she began in movies and on Broadway. She began on Broadway at the age of 19 and was in My Fair Lady and was in Camelot. She has also written a number of children's books.

Julie Andrews has never had cosmetic surgery. However, she did have surgery on her vocal cords in 1997 to remove noncancerous nodules (although she later stated that she never had any cancer or nodules, but just muscular striation on her vocal muscles due to straining them during Victor/Victoria). Unfortunately, the surgery failed and she almost completely lost her singing voice and never regained it.
