no. you need a dk bongo controller to play. sucks right?!
Probably around $50 bucks or so, just like Metriod Other M and Super Mario Galaxy 2 and New Super Mario Bros. I don't know the exact cost, but most likely around 50 dollars or $55
The original one (Cranky Kong) yes, but the current one no.
To add more details, Cranky Kong was the original DK in the arcade game and was Jumpman's(Mario's) first enemy. The current DK is an adult Donkey Kong jr and Mario's friend and rival, but not his enemy.
Hold down the Z button (the key you configured for Z) and press C Right (the key you configured for C Right).
I haven't played for awhile so I am not entirely sure... When you get to the main menu you select the crown that is labeled kong battle, two selections will appear; a battle arena, and a normal kong match. After you select one of these a choose your character type screen appears. You should see Donkey kong on top and three other question marks. Plug in the same ammount of controllers as people who want to play. Press start on each controller, choose your kong, and let the battle begin!
I hope this helped...
Probably Shrek, because nobody really cares about DK, but if it was Shrek v. Mario, it would be Mario definately.
A flag means that you have completed the level, but that there are still parts you have yet to explore, and likely orange box items you have yet to collect. The crowns indicate that the level has been entirely explored.
In Frantic Factory, DK will learn an ability. Once it's learned, you can go up to a lever and press the B button (With DK only) to pull the lever.
You have to go through the previous 7 levels and get 7 keys for K Lumsy's cage by beating the bosses. When you give K Lumsy the 7th key he opens the mouth on the warship. You have to Monkeyport up to the top with Tiny, and ponytail twirl into the mouth and inside. You will need 100 Golden Bananas to enter.
The Donkey is:
(1): You are the Donkey.
(2): In the barrel.
(3): And everywhere else...
Yes. "Cranky Kong" is Donkey Kong from the original Donkey Kong arcade game, in which Mario was known as Jumpman, and he was on an endless quest to rescue Pauline. It has been referenced since the original Donkey Kong Country game that "Cranky Kong" is in fact the original Donkey Kong, if you pay attention. For instance, when the game is first loading up and showing the developer splash logo, it shows "Cranky Kong" on the top of the last level of the Donkey Kong arcade game cranking a phonograph (a really old record player). He also refers to "his past adventures" when he was DK's age.
Donkey Kong was released in 1981 as an arcade game. If we assume that Donkey Kong is based on King Kong then we are looking at 1933. Roughly between 28 and 76 years old from time of creation.

Because he is a smooth customer. Punctual and present on every occasion looking his best. And because it looks silly and that's what Nintendo did.
To get banana medals, you need to accumulate at least 75 bananas with a specific kong. Since there are 5 kongs there are 5 medals on every level. In Hideout Helm, you need to beat the two challenges for each kong to release it.
