How does the seasons affect the wildlife?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

As a vet nurse myself, I have researched wild animals such as Zebras, Giraffes, Cheetahs and so on. I have discovered that seasons have a very big impact a giraffes life. Giraffes in the winter struggle because the giraffes fur is so thin. Where as in the summer giraffes enjoy the heat, sunshine and the warmth. I hope this answers your question.

What is the purpose of a wildlife corridor?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The corridors are thin/narrow strips of wildlife habitat that in themselves are too small to be long-term habitats/homes for anything but very small species of wildlife (such as insects and plants), but they connect large areas that can be. They encourage wildlife to travel between areas of suitable habitat when the same species would be very reluctant or incapable of travelling between them by going through highly man-modified habitat, such as arable fields, housing, etc. etc.

What is the dissimilarity between zoo and wildlife sanctuary?

User Avatar

Asked by MIGUELVERM

A Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected forest where wild animals live without danger of human hunting/poaching. The whole area is protected by rangers and the animals that live in the sanctuary are constantly monitored.

A Wildlife Safari is like a tour where one or more wildlife rangers and tourist guides take us for a trip through the jungle either in the day or night. This is different than seeing animals in the zoo because you see them in their natural habitat.
