To provide specific information about a US Army revolver from 1917, we would need the manufacturer and the complete serial number of the weapon. With this information, we can provide more accurate details about its history, such as its production, service record, and any notable events or developments related to that specific firearm.
Mossberg made the model 207.Big difference between Marlin mdel (205) rifle is Marlin has pistolgrip+ Mossberg doesn't. Mossberg's trigger also pinned to lever .
Costs vary for each student based on residency, hours taken and field of study. The average cost of attendance, an estimate of educational expenses for the academic year, for 2010-11 was $16,210 for an Oklahoma resident. For the most up-to-date information, visit http://okstate.edu/finaid.
Note: This is simply an estimate, and actual costs will vary.
There's a little blue pocket-sized book, "Colts Date of Manufacture: 1837-1978" by R.L. Wilson that has serial numbers listed by model and date. Very handy. The information in the book shows up on the Web now and then, just google "colt serial numbers," and see what you find.
The Colt King Cobra .357 is no longer in production. A King Cobra in excellent conditon could be worth as much as $1,500 depending on availibility in any given area.
To the best of my knowledge and being the owner of a Python Target .38 Spl.; I believe from research I have done they were made only for one year in 1981.
The King Cobra started production in 1986 and was discontinued in 1992. the King Cobra returned to Colt's product line in 1994. It was dropped a second time in 1998 from Colt's product line.
Go to www.proofhouse.com Serial numbers for most all Colts are there.
http://proofhouse.com/colt shows 1930 for the serial number but without the "S" My production date list shows 1930: 383001-400000 and 1978 starting S01001,so it would be 1978 or after.
First of all the gun is either a Python OR a Trooper. They are two different revolvers. The Trooper was a police issue basically. The Python was best in class, and by the way,the best revolver ever made.Pretty soon the python will be selling at 2000 bucks in good condition. Colt stopped making them around 1996.
Yes they can. Some revolvers have firing pins that get bent or dirty.

In addition, bad ammunition can leave a bullet stuck in the barrel, or a cartridge can bind the cylinder, keeping it from turning.
Depending on a detaliled description, it could be from 500-1000
According to the "Blue Book of Gun Values", a Webley mark IV .38 in 100% condition is worth $450, in 95% condition, $350. It was made and issued to the British military during WWII, and is still used today by police in some countries.
as with all things value depends on condition...........if you try to sell to a dealer you would probably get about 70% of true value. best to research value your self and sell at a set price..........your pistol from 1917 COULD fetch $700 and up (condition). I believe your pistol production run may have been for the US Marine Corps. That would make for higher price. get a copy of the BLUE BOOK, it's worth it. Call 800 877 7867
value depends on condition
You can also compare your model with other browning models on online listing sites such Gunsinternational.com Or you can take pictures and pay for an appraisal through the blue book of gun values.
$150 to several thousand dollars, depending on condition, markings, and history of the gun.
The value will depend on several factors, beginning with the actual model. Then the condition is very important. Even a broken gun may be worth a few hundred if it still looks good (it is unlikely that anyone is going to actually shoot it). If it is in pristine condition it can bring a few thousand and if you can document its use in the Civil War (would have to be a bit older than 1865), add another thousand or so. If you can document use by the Confederacy, it could go into the tens of thousands.
prices vary a great deal. I would offer $950 if in ex. cond.
First of all your 1911 was made in 1912 by Colt or Remington. It probably saw service in WW1. If your pistol is described correctly I would guess a value between $2500 and $3000. I say that amount because the 1911 is a prime military item wanted on the military market to day.....The better the condition, the better the price...
Between $400 and $800, deducting up to 70% for poor condition.
Your Gun being a five number serial starting with 42 dates back to 1911 production date. although this is an old gun what won´t help the value is that 19,300 weremade that same year. But it is still a colectors item and I have seen them go from about $500 to$700 again like any rare old item its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Goodluck and I hope I was helpful. for more info on that gun go to www.coltautos.com
