You can buy a 5kg jar of Nutella in Sutton st North Melbourne. I'm not sure of the name of the place but it sells and services coffee machines and has a cafe. It's downstairs from Jason Coleman's Ministry of Dance. The price is $89 though!!

Not quite correct: Nutella is made by Ferrero (the same company that makes Rocher chocolates) and it's an Italian product and always has been.

It is entirely possible that Ferrero has a branch office and production facility in Australia as it does in many other countries. That's a pretty common situation with most major products because it's too costly to always import things. The jar you buy in Australia made be made in Australia, but it's an Italian product.
