cm x cm x cm = cm^3
cm^3 is also known as 'mL' ( millilitres) or 'c.c' (cubic Centimetres) .
They are different names for the same volume.
The 'Old Childrens Gam' plan.
Have drawing board.
In it place two pins.
Make a loop of string, and place it over the pins. The loop should be slack/loose.
With a pencil , put it inside the string loop , and pull the loop tight.
Keeping the loop tight, move/draw the pencil as a third point inside the tight loop.
If done correctly, you will have a nice smooth ellipse.
To have an elipse of a certain size. Measure the distance between the pins. Then with the looped string, place it over the two pins . Pull it taught against one pin, and in a straight line through other pin, to limit of half the major axis. Then drawe as before.
Hope that helps!!!!!
NB This is child's/boy scout's stuff.
Remember there are 10 mm = 1cm
So in 50mm = 5 cm.
Here is the Table of Metric Linear Measurement.
10 mm = 1 cm
100 cm = 1m
1000 m = 1 km.
It's quite acceptable to call it an 88-agon but what's more important is knowing how to work out its properties.
Being a right- angled triangle apply Pythagoras.
h^2 = a^2 + b^2
Hence
b^(2) = h^2 - a^2
b^(2) = ( h + a)(h - a)
b^2 = (122 + 22)( 122 - 22)
b^2 = 144(100)
b^2 = 14400
b = sqrt(14400) = 120 .
First find the Exterior angle = 360 / n (No. of sides)
Hence
Exterior angle = 360/19 = 18.947... degrees
Hence the Interior Angle is 180 - 18.947... = 161.05263...
Hence for 19 sides.
19 X 161.05263... = 3060 degrees.
The circumference of a circle is the perimeter of the circle for a given diamater.
NO!!! The word 'perpendicular' means that the lines intersect at 90 degrees (right anhles).
The real answer is 29 .
First, find the number of sides for each group of shapes.
1 nonagon: 1 × 9 = 9
4 pentagons: 4 × 5 = 20
Now add to find the total number of sides:
9 + 20 = 29
They have 29 sides in all.
A Triangle has THREE sides. ; not necessarily equal .
However, triangles are then sub-divided into ;-
EQUILATERAL ; All three sides are the same length , and all three angles are 60 degrees.
ISOSCELES ; Two sides are of equal length and two angles are of equal size.
RIGHT-ANGLED ; All three sides can be of different length , or it can be an Isosceles triangles. However, there MUST be ONE RIGHT Angle (90 degrees).
SCALENE ; All three sides are of different length , and all three angles are of different size.
Decagon has 10 sides, and a Hexagon has 6 sides.
decagon has 10sides
pentagon has 5sides
10-5=5
decagon has 5 sides morethan pentagon
decagon has 10sides
octagon has 8sides
decagon have 2sides more than octagon
The interior angles of a regular or irregular polygon with 29 sides add up to 4,860 degrees
OBTUSE
Amgles less that 90 degrees are Acute
Angles between 180 & 360 degrees are Reflex.
What is 'pbr3' ??? If you mean the chemical phosphorus bromide , the formula is 'PBr3'. NOTE the use of Capital letters.
Ther shape is pyrsmidal, similarl to its group analogy ammonia.
If all three sides are 9 inches in length, then it is an EQUILATERAL Triangle.
All the angles are 60 degrees.
A hemisphere is a 3-d shape and so does not have a name as a 2-d shape.
2-d sections of a hemisphere can be circles, semicircles, or sections of circles, depending on the inclination of the intersecting plane.
volume = height x pi x radius^2
350 = 10xpixrxr
r^2 = 350/(10xpi)
r^2 = 11.141
r = 3.337
formula is height x pi x radius^2
9xpix3.25x3.25
= 298.6476
formula is height x pi x radius^2
11xpix4x4
