What is ccixi in Roman numerals?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

CCIXI is not a Roman numeral. There is no way that the combination IXI can appear in Roman numerals. IX means 1 before 10, which is 9. XI means 1 after 10, which is 11. So IXI would theoretically mean 1 before 10 and 1 after 10, which would simply be 10. So, the correct possible combination of those numerals would be....

CCIX = 209
CCX = 210 and
CCXI = 211
