The Jungle was written in 1906 by Upton Sinclair. In an attempt to raise "social awareness" it contrasts the corruption of the meat-packing industry with the appalling conditions and day-to-day hopelessness the "lower classes" work and live in. Upon publication, (after 5 rejections) the Jungle became an instant best seller and has never gone out of print.

Why do nag and nagaina enter the house?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I believe Nag is male, and Nagaina is female. They are the cobras in the garden from Rudyard Kiplings story 'Rikki Tikki Tavi' (also the Disney Cartoon). Also, Nagaina makes the plans and is smarter than Nag. Nag just does what she tells him to and is less smart.
