"The Spaniard That Blighted My Life" is a novel written by Maurice Hewlett and was first published in 1894.
Blood contains iron, which is essential for carrying oxygen in red blood cells. When blood is exposed to air, the iron in hemoglobin reacts with oxygen and creates a metallic scent. This reaction is what gives blood its characteristic metallic smell.

Chances are very good.. They say that something like 75% of women who have a miscarriage go on to have healthy, normal pregnancies. Check out this article on trying to conceive after a miscarriage: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/752151/resources_and_ideas_for_those_trying.html
There is a condition called placenta privea that is basically where the placenta is trying to pull away from the uterus. It may cause bleeding which happened to me at 5 months but it can be monitered and usually an ultrasound will be performed later in the pregnancy to determine if the placenta is blocking the cervix complicating vaginal delivery. If left untreated it can cause death.Any bleeding needs to be checked out by your doctor.
You could have a kidney or bladder infection. The only way to get rid of it is to see a doctor. Another possibility is a kidney or bladder stone. The stone forms in the kidney and causes bleeding as it travels down the ureter to the bladder. Once the stone is in the bladder it may not cause bleeding again until it begins to travel down the urethra when one urinates. Both infections and stones can be painful. Infections can be very dangerous if the kidney becomes involved. Similarly a stone trapped in the kidney could disastrously affect the production of urine. Medical attention is important if there is blood in the urine.
You don't. It is thought that a quarter of pregnancies miscarry, which means that many women miscarry before they even know they are pregnant probably because the fertilised egg has something wrong with it. Practically every woman I know has had a miscarriage and if you ask around it is actually very common. The majoruty then go on to have a healthy baby.
It will depend on your own feelings and situations, you will know within yourselt when you feel the time is right. Go by your own instincts, don't feel pressured and listen to your own body signs, be true to yourself, don't rush, it takes time and patience to get back to 'normal'. Look after yourselt first and formost. Psychologically the above answer is absolutely correct. Physically you can get pregnant after two weeks, before your next period. Probably better to wait until after your next period so you have an accurate datefor calculating your due date. Surprisingly, many women have a baby very near the first anniversary of the miscarriage, so they are pregnant within 3 months.
There is no specific medical term for a woman who has had 3 miscarriages and 2 live births. However, she may be considered as someone who has experienced recurrent pregnancy loss or recurrent miscarriages. It is essential for her to consult with a healthcare professional or a fertility specialist to determine any underlying causes or potential treatment options
Miscarriage of justice refers to a situation where a person is wrongly convicted or punished for a crime they did not commit. It occurs when errors or flaws in the legal process, such as misconduct by law enforcement officials, evidence tampering, false testimonies, or inadequate legal representation, result in an unjust verdict or sentence. Miscarriages of justice not only have devastating consequences for the individuals wrongfully convicted but also erode public trust in the justice system
No. Guiness is a beer and there's a old myth that if you hot it up and drink it can prevent pregnancy or cause miscarriage. This is not true. It will just be warm beer.
A yolk sac is a precursor to a baby, usually yolk sacs are seen at 5 1/2 weeks. A fetal heart is detectable in the 6th week - that is what is a better indicator of having a baby, eventhough it is called an embryo at this point.
iM REALLY NOT SURE THAT THERE IS ANY PROOF OF A NUMBER OF CIGARETTES SMOKED TO LEAD TO MISSCARRIAGE!ALTHOUGH IT HEIGHTENS THE RISK OF MISSCARRIAGE.....IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT IF YOU SMOKE YOU WILL MISSCARRY!I HAVE KNOWN PEOPLE TO SMOKE THROUGHOUT THEIR PREGNANCY AND THEIR BABIES WERE JUST FINE!ON THE OTHER HAND I KNOW PEOPLE THAT DONT SMOKE AND HAVE MISSCARRIED.iF YOU HAVE BEEN SMOKING IT DOESNT MEAN U WILL MISCAARY,BUT IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO THINK ABOUT QUITTING FOR YOU AND THE BABY!
It can KILL you, not abort! if you are looking to terminate the pregnancy oyu have to see a doctor and have an abortion. There is no other safe way to do so. If you have questions or need financial help or w/e the reason is you even think about trying something as dangerous as Drano call the National Abortion Federation hotline operators at 1-800-772-9100 or your local Planned Parenthood.
The yolk sac eventually becomes part of the embryos midgut and is not part of the amnioyic sac. They are separate structures. It is possible to have an empty amniotic sac called a blighted ovum but it is not possible to have a yolk sac but no amniotic sac.
You probably won't feel your baby kick until around week 16 and 22, even though the baby has been moving since week 7 or 8. You may have already witnessed these movements during an ultrasound. This is often felt as a fluttering feeling or a grasshopper walking across your belly during the first movements.
It's possible, though not likely. 85% of women can see the heartbeat flicker on the u/s at 5-6 weeks, although some women with a higher body mass index cannot. Do not give up hope until your HcG levels have been measured by the doc. Good luck.
well since i been doing research on fetuses, my girlfriend is pregnant i believe that a 7 month old fetus can survive preterm birth because of development, so does the 8 month old fetus, but i believe the 8 month old fetus can't survive because it was almost born, i guess. Personally, I haven't heard of this, and can't find it in any of the medical textbooks I have.
An 8 month fetus has more chance of survival than a 7 month old fetus because it is more developed. The weeks just before full term birth, the baby is working on lung development. Neither than 7 month old nor the 8 month old has full lung capacity development... and actually the 7 month old hasn't even started much on this one.
It really depends on any other complications that arise. If the 8 month fetus has more complications, say because of genetics or trauma besides the pre-term delivery, it would have a lesser chance of survival compared to a 7 month fetus that has little or no complications, either genetics or trauma. Both fetus are at risk for pre-mature illnesses and the normal complications that stem from being delivered early.
In either case, medical technology has advanced quite far in these times. Both fetus have a chance for survival with various treatments, medications, machines, and procedures, depending on the needs of the preemie and the stage of development, as well as post-partum circumstances that arise. It is still true, however, that the further along you can carry the baby, the better chance of survival it has because it has been able to be more developed. This is why, if you are too early, and you have true labor pains, the doctor will give you medication to stop the labor and thus give the baby more time to develop in utero.
No, honey. Your baby is way to teeny for that! You can't even remotley hear a baby's heartbeat with a good Doppler before 9 or 10 weeks! So don't worry! Besides if the Dr. thought anything was wrong he would have told you! Look at it this way.... if you were 5 weeks along at your last Dr. appt. than your next appointment should be scheduled 4 weeks later which will make you 9 weeks. The doctor might not try to get the baby's heartbeat but ASK HIM TO anyhow! The doctor didn't try mine and he said 9 weeks could be too early to hear it but he tried and got it with not to much difficulty. So tell them a friend heard her baby at 9wks and 5 days and you would like him to try! OK? Good luck on your pregnancy!Pam
Alcohol is a diuretic, and could cause low sodium if a person avoided salt for a prolonged period, especially if they drank lots of water.
If you are pregnant, you should not be drinking at all.
Fetal demise can occur and at any gestational age, and even after an autopsy is preformed some parents never get the answer they desperately need. Sometimes it's related to umbilical cord accidents, other times it may be genetics. However the majority of fetal demise or stillbirths are never fully understood. Please support research for stillbirth and sudden infant death.
I had an ultrasound when I was around 5 weeks pregnant. Dont worry...we didnt see a fetus either... just the yolk sac and gestational sac. The fetus is still literally to small to see most likely. U will just go back to the doctors in a few weeks and you will see ur little one. I went back at 9 weeks and he looked like a little baby. It was incredible!!! Good luck and CONGRATS!!!
probably about the size of a golf ball. If you are 8 weeks pregnant your baby will be about and inch long. Your baby is about 3/4 of an inch long and weighs approximately 10 grams.
