how do I change cigarette liter for vauxall astra sport year 2000
under the controls for the side view mirrors, behind the coin holder cup. open the coin cup & pull up on the cup until it pops out of place. on the back of the coin cup is the fuse diagram. its the "cig" on the 3rd column, top row, "15a". there are some spare fuses under the hood. open the hood & its on the right of the engine in the black box that's about 10in by 4in big. open the cover & look at the fuse diagram & look for the spares on the top right.
It's a 20 amp fuse located on the center panel on the left side of the passenger seat. The panel cover is stamped on the inside.
I would like to find out what type of fuse is needed for the 2010 vw jetta cigarette lighter and how to identify which fuse it is and where located
In the 03 its to the right of the stering wheel behind the little flip box, but mine is still messed up had no fuse problems. No idea whaat to try next
The fuse is located in the fuse box under the hood on the driver side. There will be a black box near the windshield with a black finger box. Remove the bolt and lift the lid. There will be a diagram of the fuse placement. Replace with a 20 amp fuse.
It is located with the rest of the fuses under the dash between the steering column, and the left kick panel. The fuse cover will be marked with fuse identification.
you have to find your fuse panel, may be under the dash, inside glovebox, or maybe on side of dash with door open, find the fuse for the cig lighter, pull it out and replace it
It is under the hood, it doesnt say cigarette lighter it says inside lights or indoor lights....email me if it worked for you at niggycivic187@sbcglobal.net
:
The 1994-1997 Accord has a fuse box located in the driver side kick panel, and another located under the hood, up behind the passenger strut tower. The fuse for the cigarette lighter is in the box under the hood, it's 15 amp, and it's marked "Radio/Cigar Lighter".
try checking the fuse box..... the numbers for the fuses are located in the manual
Glove compartment,
fuse 52,blue 15amp,
top row ,
4th from the right
Use an electronic cleaner & spray inside the outlet to clean it. Make sure there is no power at the outlet when you're doing this. If it is extremely rusty you may have to replace the outlet.
Were is the cigarette lighter on IST 2003 model?
They screw in from the rear. If you can't get to it you may have to take the light assy off.
The long way is the best way: You will need a medium Phillips screwdriver at minimum. A battery screwdriver/drill makes it faster. Needle nose pliers might help to resolve problems. There is no need to open the hood. Procedure:
1. From the orange side lamp take out the two screws hold it in, pull lamp away from frame. 2. Remove frame by taking out four screws, 1/near the grill in front, 2,3/ from the opening made by removing the side lamp, 4/the last from the bottom of the frame near the bumper. 3. Pull frame away exposing headlight. Remove four screws holding the bezel (thin metal frame around the headlight). 4. DO NOT turn the two adjustment screws, one on top in the middle between the two bezel screws, or the one the outer side. 5. The headlight then can be pulled away and disconnected. Connect new headlight. You may need to bend one or two of the three prongs to make it fit. Fit bezel to headlight, secure with four screws. Secure frame with three screws. Secure orange side lamp with two screws.
Problems: Screws may be rusted in place or break. Screws are easy to lose, put them in a container or other good place.
EMERGENCY METHOD:
With a Phillips screwdriver undo only the two bottom screws on the bezel and carefully remove and secure them. Bend bezel upwards and away enough to remove headlight. Replace headlight. TRICKY part: You will definitely lose the two bezel screws UNLESS you stuff a paper towel or similar in the space below the holes to catch the screws if you miss getting it in. It would be best at this point to wait until you can do the full procedure at another time.
Otherwise, good luck!
I found this answer in a search...it is an exellent answer and I followed it to a good conclusion. Thanks.
You might check the Amps size of the fuse. A lot of times, if you are using a fuse with too little Ampage, it can cause the fuse to blow. Your owner's manual should tell the proper size of fuse for that specific circuit.
First of all, be sure to check for a blown fuse. Then, you will have to pull the ashtray and expose the lighter charging coil, which is the round metal piece that the actual lighter rests in. Disconnect your battery, and then disconnect the wiring harness clip from the back of your lighter, then you twist the lighter counterclockwise to unseat it for removal. Installation is the reversal of these steps.
In the fuse panel located on the drivers end of the dash ( the removable plastic fuse panel cover is visible with the drivers door open ) fuse # 29 is a 15 amp fuse for the radio , and fuse #20 is a 7.5 amp fuse for the radio , RAP module and GEM
